Below are a few commonly asked questions that I’ve received over the years. If your question is not answered here please fill out the contact request and let me know what’s on your mind.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. There’s a 25% retainer fee. The balance may be paid in two or three payment installments. Balance must be received at least 48 hours prior to shoot date.
Will you assist with finding a place for on-location shoots?
Yes, I definitely assist with this important part of planning the photoshoot. Along with wardrobe tips, these are part of our planning consultation which will happen after you’ve paid the retainer fee.
How long will it take before I see my images?
All images will be uploaded to an online gallery within 2 weeks. After we review the images and you choose your favorite set, the print time usually takes an additional week depending the products ordered and time of year e.g. a 24 page album in December may take 14 days to produce compared to the 5 day production time of an 18×24 metal print ordered in March.
Do I have image rights and can I print my own images?
Yes, you may print your images. The service agreement we sign will cover this in specific detail, but generally I share all usage rights with my clients. As the photographer/artist I retain all ownership rights to photographs I create (like the photos on this site, my portfolio, marketing, etc.), but I extend usage rights that gives you permission to print your photos and post them to social mediums. However, there are restrictions which include the client’s use of the imagery for commercial gain.
What if I need to reschedule my photoshoot?
The event service agreement covers this in detail. The short answer is you’ll have options to reschedule and we’ll work together to adjust to the situation. All money you’ve paid will be applied to the next date you schedule. Should you need to reschedule a second time, you’ll have the option of a refund of all money paid less the 25% deposit (retainer fee). Because I work diligently to plan your event, we use the deposit to absorb much of the initial hours and preparation time, therefore it is rarely ever returned. The main focus is to make sure your shoot happens and we work hard to hit that target – even when it moves a couple times.
Are my packages returned after the product photos are taken?
Yes, all products may be returned after the photographs are completed and you’ve approved the images. In the case of ongoing campaigns and updating imagery, I can also warehouse products when needed.
